Dry Needling
With dry needling I will insert solid filament needles (acupuncture) directly into your skin and muscle. I will do this at your myofascial trigger points. A myofascial trigger point (sometimes known as a knot) consists of multiple contraction knots, and these are related to the production and maintenance of the pain cycle.
This approach is based on Western anatomical and neurophysiological principles. However, don’t confuse these with the Traditional Chinese Medicine technique of acupuncture (TCM).
